Welcome to Arevalo Legal. By accessing this website (arevalolegal.ca), purchasing digital products, booking coaching sessions, or scheduling an appointment for notary services, you acknowledge and agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

1. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

1.1. No Legal Advice (General)

Arevalo Legal provides notary/commissioning services, educational resources, and professional coaching. We are not a law firm. The information provided on this website, in our videos, within our study materials, and during coaching sessions does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal advice on any specific legal matter.


1.2. Coaching & Business Mentorship Disclaimer

We offer coaching programs for paralegal students (exam prep) and licensees (practice management/notary business guidance).

  • No Business Guarantees: Any information regarding business growth, income potential, or marketing strategies is for educational and mentorship purposes only. Arevalo Legal makes no guarantees regarding your business success, income levels, or client acquisition. Your results depend on your own effort, market conditions, and business execution.
  • Professional Compliance: You are solely responsible for ensuring your business practices, marketing, and client management comply with the Law Society of Ontario by-laws and Rules of Conduct. Our coaching does not constitute a formal supervision agreement or replace your professional obligations.
  • No Exam Guarantees: Coaching for students is designed to assist with preparation but does not guarantee a passing grade on the Paralegal Licensing Examination.


1.3. Educational Materials (Digital Products)

Study materials, practice tests, and guides are provided for educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for official Law Society of Ontario resources. Arevalo Legal assumes no liability for errors, omissions, or examination results.


1.4. Scope of Notary & Commissioning Services

Notary and commissioning services are limited strictly to the verification of identities, witnessing of signatures, and administration of oaths. Utilizing these services does not establish a continuing solicitor-client relationship.


1.5. General Liability

The content on this website and in our programs is provided "as is." Arevalo Legal assumes no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, products, or coaching.

2. COACHING & MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS

2.1. Nature of Relationship

Coaching sessions are a professional service for educational and business development purposes. They do not create an employer-employee, partnership, or principal-agent relationship.


2.2. Booking and Cancellations (Coaching)

  • Payment: Full payment is required to secure your coaching slot.
  • Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable.
  • No Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled coaching session without notice will result in the forfeiture of the session fee.


2.3. Intellectual Property in Coaching

Any proprietary templates, business strategies, or specific frameworks shared during coaching sessions are the intellectual property of Arevalo Legal and are for your personal/business use only. They may not be repackaged, resold, or taught to others.

3. DIGITAL PRODUCTS (STUDY MATERIALS)

3.1. Licensing and Use

When you purchase a digital product (e.g., practice tests, study guides), you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.

  • Prohibitions: You may not share, redistribute, resell, or publish these materials. Unauthorized distribution is a violation of copyright law.


3.2. Refund Policy for Digital Goods

Due to the immediate, irrevocable nature of digital downloads, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable. Refunds will not be granted for change of mind or failure to pass an examination.

4. NOTARY & COMMISSIONING SERVICES

4.1. Service Area

We provide in-person or mobile notary appointments upon request within the York Region only (Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Whitchurch-Stouffville).


4.2. Fees and Payments

  • Booking Fee: A payment equivalent to the first commissioning fee ($32.99) is required to secure your booking.
  • Mobile Travel Fee: $44.99 + service costs.
  • All prices are in CAD and subject to HST.


4.3. Cancellation and Late Policy (Notary)

  • Rescheduling/Cancellation: Changes made less than 2 hours before the appointment are subject to a $32.99 fee.


Late Policy: If you are more than 10 minutes late, the appointment will be cancelled and considered a "No Show" (subject to full fee).

5. GENERAL TERMS

5.1. Affiliate Disclosure

This website may contain affiliate links (e.g., LegalWills.ca). We may receive a commission for purchases made through these links at no extra cost to you.


5.2. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ontario.


5.3. Modifications

Arevalo Legal reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Accuracy of Materials

While Arevalo Legal strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the materials on our website.

Fees

All prices are in Canadian Dollars. 

One commissioning or notarization includes the signature and seal of your Commissioner or Notary.


Commissioning / Notarization (Online and Mobile Notary)

  • First Commissioning / Notarization: $32.99
  • Succeeding Commissioning / Notarizations: $21.99 each


Mobile Notary

  • Travel Fee: $44.99, plus the cost of commissioning or notarizations
  • Same fees apply to Additional Witness


Powers of Attorney and Wills

  • One POA: $97.99 
    • Includes signature of two witnesses, one notarized power of attorney and one notarial certificate
  • Two POAs: $130.99
    • Includes signatures of two witnesses, two notarized powers of attorney and one notarial certificate
  • One Will: $108.99
    • Includes signatures of two witnesses, one notarized affidavit of execution and notarizing the will as an exhibit to the affidavit
  • Two Wills: $185.99
    • Includes signatures of two witnesses, two notarized affidavits of execution and notarizing the wills an exhibits to the affidavits

Others

  • Document Drafting: Starting from $39.99, depending on the complexity of the document
  • Additional Witness: $32.99 Per Witness
  • Mailing: $9.99 Service Charge, plus courier cost
  • Video Recording of Online Appointment: $4.99
  • Gold Stamp: $1.99 

Mobile Notary Service Area

We provide in-person or mobile notary appointments upon request within the York Region only, which includes the cities of:

  • Aurora
  • East Gwillimbury
  • Georgina
  • King
  • Markham
  • Newmarket
  • Richmond Hill
  • Vaughan
  • Whitchurch-Stouffville


We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any appointment requests at our sole discretion.

Booking Fee

To secure your booking, an initial payment equivalent to the first commissioning / notarization fee of $32.99 is required. This amount will be credited towards your total service charge upon completion of your transaction. 

Rescheduling

Clients may request to reschedule appointments up to 2 hours before the scheduled time without incurring additional charges. Rescheduling outside this 2-hour timeframe may be subject to a fee equivalent to the first notarization fee of $32.99, and availability for the new appointment time is not guaranteed. 

Late Attendance

Clients are expected to arrive promptly for scheduled appointments. Late attendance may result in a reduction of the commissioner / notary service duration, and the commissioner / notary is not obligated to extend the appointment beyond the scheduled time. If a client is more than 10 minutes late, the Commissioner / Notary will end the session, and the client will be deemed a No Show.

No Show

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will be considered a "No Show." No-shows may result in a fee equivalent to the first notarization fee of $32.99, and the commissioner / notary reserves the right to terminate the appointment.

Cancellation

Clients are kindly requested to notify us in advance if they must cancel an appointment. To encourage responsible scheduling, a cancellation fee of $32.99 will be applied to cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time. This is in addition to the terms outlined in our refund provision.

Applicable Taxes

All prices listed do not include the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Applicable taxes will be added to the total service charge as required by law.

Refund

If an error made by us leads to a document's rejection by the intended agency or organization, we will issue a full refund. However, refunds will not be granted in cases where the error arises from the client selecting an incorrect form or document, or from a misunderstanding of the document's requirements on the client's part. 


Refund eligibility for cancellations is determined by the 2-hour cancellation timeframe outlined in these terms and conditions. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the email address arevalolegal.ca@gmail.com and processing times may apply. No refunds will be provided for no-shows.
